OUR HISTORY
Grace Baptist Church was established on August 23, 1970. The first service was held in the old Cameron Patten Hotel building on Main Street in South Pittsburg,TN with 19 in attendance. The Grace Baptist congregation has grown over the years resulting in the need for larger accommodations including our present site. However, we are most proud and humbled by having a part in planting the seed and leading the lost to Christ. We have record of over 850 souls proclaiming their profession of faith during our history.
OUR STAFF
Reverend Ronald Case, Senior Pastor
Brother Ronnie was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan and spent many years of his childhood moving from state to state. However, in jr high his family settled in South Pittsburg, TN. He began attending Calvary Baptist Church and at the age of 16 accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was called to preach in 1969 and preached his first sermon at Calvary Baptist Church. Brother Ronnie founded Grace Baptist Church at the direction of the Lord and has been pastor since its beginning. He also serves as chaplain at the local nursing home and host church services for the residents of the Senior Apartments in South Pittsburg, TN and Valley View Assisted Living in Whitwell, TN. Brother Ronnie has been married to his wife, Wanda, for over 50 years. He has 2 children and 3 grandchildren.
Reverend Keith Layne, Assistant Pastor
Brother Keith Layne was born and raised in South Pittsburg, TN. On January 15, 1997, Brother Keith accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Brother Keith has attended Grace Baptist Church his entire life and held several positions in the church over the years including Sunday School teacher, Youth Leader, trustee, and Deacon. Brother Keith accepted the call to preach on October 24, 2010. He has been married to his wife, Meshone, for over 25 years and has 2 daughters.
Church Staff
Our church staff is comprise of people from different backgrounds and walks of life but they all are followers of Jesus Christ, knowledgeable of His Word, and have the love for others. The Ultimate goal of the staff of Grace Baptist is to lead the lost to Christ and teach His Word.
